It’s so easy to make your own brown sugar, and it’s so much more flavorful! This recipe will yield an intensity somewhere between light and dark brown sugar seen on shelves in your local store. Adjust the amount of molasses for lighter or darker brown sugar.
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon unsulfured molasses
- Place the ingredients in a bowl and massage the molasses into the sugar with your fingers until all the molasses is completely absorbed into the sugar.
- Pour into a storage container and seal it (Tupperware works great for this!).
