Posts for best breakfasts from 2014 (and a couple of all-time favorites).
I like to take some time at the end of each year to reflect on the year past.
To pause and just think.
I think about my relationships with family and friends, if I've nurtured the connections in my life or committed careless damage (often it's a little of both), and how I want to move into the New Year. Life evolves, but often I don't see it until I do this review. My cooking evolves too, as a reflection of what draws my interest. A group of us from Secret Recipe Club are doing a fun series of recipe roundups for the rest of the year. I wanted to do it as a way of looking back at where my cooking has taken me. For you, it might be a reminder of some forgotten posts, or ones you've missed.
Here's the schedule. Except I'll need to deviate just a bit. On Sunday, I'll be doing another #Sunday Supper post, so on Monday the 29th, I'll combine Main Dishes and Snacks & Appetizers.
As a note to other food bloggers, come join in! Just round-up the best recipes you posted in 2014 on your blog for each category. For each post, you can stop by to link up to the corresponding day on Fantastical Sharing of Recipes or on the Secret Recipe Club website. On January 1st, the “Pick Your Poison” category is simply a you-choose category. You can share your favorite recipes from 2014, recipes from someone else's blog that you can't wait to try in 2015, beverages, etc. Any kind of miscellaneous round-up that you would like to share…is game on the first day of 2015!
Whether or not you're a food blogger, head over to either of these sites to see other recipes in each category!

It’s 8:00 AM and I want breakfast. Waiting for my coffee to to finish steeping and thinking about what to have. Love all your wonderful breakfast selections. When the weather is cold I want want a hearty breakfast, summer I love smoothies and shakes and light fare but in winter something substantial. Those huevos rancheros look so good also the shirred eggs. YUM, Happy New Year Susan, best wishes to you and your family, wishing you all a healthy, happy 2015.

Huevos ranchero is my ideal breakfast and I love the look of yours. My husband loves eggnog so I may have to give your eggnog Dutch baby a try this weekend. Great countdown list.

Wow….your maple corn bread caught my attention right of the bat…then all the strawberry choices…I am a strawberry fanatic, but then I saw the huevos rancheros and that is all I can think about now.
