Welcome!

I'm Susan, thank you for visiting my food blog! I enrolled in culinary school after many years in business as a gift to myself to follow my heart and create a life around food. I've now fallen in love with writing and photography as well, and am thoroughly enjoying this new life I'm still creating.
Inspired by the book "In Defense of Food", I began infusing more fruits, vegetables, and whole grains into my everyday diet. Meat and fish will never be completely gone from my diet, but they're no longer the main event on my plate. On the other hand, my husband is a determined carnivore, creating a challenge for me to create dishes that will entice him. Whether you're vegetarian, or just wanting to eat less meat, I hope you'll find inspiration here to try something new to add to your own table.
